We hope you can join us on Saturday, Dec 14th, for Rowhouse Productions' annual holiday party & performance -- a night of music, spiced beverages, holiday cookies, a little caroling & a whole lot of merriment!
Sarah and some other musical friends (including Clifford Hall, Karina Kacala, Lenny Ranallo, Myanna & Cassia Harvey) will be playing a few holiday-themed tunes and some traditional favorites. They invite you to sing along ... or just listen if you'd prefer. After the music, we can all celebrate the season with drinks & holiday cheer well into the night!
Settle in and get cozy at 7:30pm, music begins around 8:30pm, and revelry late into the night until we can't revel anymore. ;)
Kindly RSVP as soon as you decide about coming. It makes a big difference for us to know ahead of time what the headcount will be. Also, while we'll have a starter bar set up, it would be greatly appreciated if everyone would bring something to drink. Thanks!

You don't have to be a big fan of Hollywood movies or the many terrible people in the industry, and you really, truly do not have to have seen one single nominated film to enjoy the festivities with us ... let alone to stand a chance of winning the prediction contest. However you define a salon, we hope that you'll come out and enjoy some classical music as it was meant to be experienced -- as part of an intimate gathering in a non-concert venue.
Join us on Saturday, July 29th, for a Fall Salon featuring featuring Karina, Clifford, Cassia, Myanna, Patrick, & Sarah, among others.
Doors will open at 8:00pm; the performance will begin around 8:30. As usual we'll provide a few snacks and some drinks, but we ask that you kindly contribute something to embibe. And pleeeaase let us know if you're coming as space is limited and it really helps us plan to have a somewhat accurate headcount!
Following the performances we can shed our corsets & cravats and we'll make merry (in a more 21st century way) well into the night.

As the summer heats up, with July 4th almost here, and with our garden hardly used at all yet this season, it's time to turn our attention away from futball (yes, you can do it!) and towards each other.

The Conversation (1974). Made between The Godfather parts I and II (and in part an homage to the 1966 art movie classic Blow-Up), Francis Ford Coppola returns to small-scale film making with this intimate movie about an audio surveillance expert (Gene Hackman). As someone who is indirectly involved in ruining the lives of others and who will go anywhere to bug a private conversation, he faces a moral quandary when he suspects that a couple whose conversation he's been hired to record will be murdered.

Join us June 29th, for Rowhouse Productions' Midsummer Salon featuring the cello duet Arco Iris (Sarah Noble and Alex Stefans) and friends, including Cliff Hall (of the band Acton Bell), Karina Kacala, Patrick Dostal, Rachel Kane, Tim Lowenhaupt, and Myanna & Cassia Harvey.
Doors will open at 8pm; the performance will begin around 8:30. As usual we'll provide some snacks and drinks, but we would happily welcome contributions. Feel free to bring a friend, and please let us know if you're coming as space is limited! Following the performances we can shed our corsets & cravats and we'll make merry (in a more 21st way we're all accustomed to) well into the night.
Spring Salon - April 20, 2013
sa·lon (noun) - [sə-ˈlän] : a periodic assembly (especially common during the 18th century) of guests in a drawing room or reception room of a private residence who gather to appreciate musical performances and works of art.
However you define a salon, we hope that you'll be interested in putting a little culture in your life by listening to classical music as it was meant to be enjoyed -- as part of an intimate gathering in the comfort of a home.

Oscar Night - Feb 24, 2013
Four score and seven years ago (aka 1926) our forefathers did NOT bring forth the Academy Awards. There were, however, great films brought forth by Buster Keaton, D.W. Griffith, and Cecil B. Demille, among others in Hollywood that year. In honor of this hallowed history, we hope you will come celebrate the 85th Academy Awards and our annual Oscar party!
Sunday, Feb 24th / Red carpet show begins at 7:00pm / Award ceremony at 8:00pm.

Late-Summer English Garden Party - Sept 15, 2012
As the summer comes to a close and as our memories of the Olympic games in London fade, we're letting our inner Anglophiles out by throwing a late-summer English garden party. Happily, you won't need to travel across the pond to enjoy some of the British treats we'll be serving: finger sandwiches, Victoria sponge cake, "chips," and Pimm's Cups.
